- FPT use a combination of Powerpoint presentations, visual aids, practical activities, group work, FAQ’s and assessments to accommodate for all learners.

Course Content
- Immediate Life Support (ILS) Level 3 (VTQ) Healthcare is designed for medical professionals.
- The following topics will be covered: incident management utilising DRABC Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, and Circulation.
- Taking care of an unconscious victim who is not breathing regularly;
- Recognising when to start CPR and defibrillation on an infant, child, or adult, including defibrillation.
- Setup and maintenance of an automated external defibrillator (AED), as well as where to locate an AED as a bystander.
- Using the Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability and Exposure (ABCDE ) for patient assessment.
- Knowing how to use various medications in an emergency.
- What should you do if someone is drowning?
- The course also discusses airway adjuncts such as the nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, and supraglottic airway device.
- Have a knowledge of how to employ oxygen and a Bag Valve Mask (BVM).
- Medical crises and treatment knowledge such asthma, angina, anaphylactic shock, diabetes, epilepsy, general seizures, heart attack hypovolaemic shock, hyperventilation, sepsis etc.
