Course Details
- This course is 3 hours classroom learning time
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the course starts to register your details
- Running late – you will not be accepted on the course and no refund will be issued
- Maximum of 12 delegates per course

- FPT use a combination of Powerpoint presentations, visual aids, practical activities, group work, FAQ’s and assessments to accommodate for all learners.

Course Content
- Basic Life Support Level 2 includes incident management utilising the DRABC Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, and Circulation.
- Taking care of an unconscious victim who is not breathing regularly;
- Recognising when to start CPR and defibrillation on an infant, child, or adult, including defibrillation.
- The signs and symptoms of a heart attack, as well as how you can help.
- What should you do if someone is drowning?
- Choking protocols for an infant, child, and adult, as well as when to contact 999.
- Three forms of bleeding: capillary, venous, and arterial, and how to treat each. Splinters, grazes, and bruises are examples of minor injuries.
- The course will cover three forms of shock. Spinal injuries, dislocations, and fractures of various forms. Scalds and burns Anaphylaxis, chest injuries, strains and sprains, seizures and epilepsy are also possibilities.
- Contents of a first-aid kit and paperwork for dealing with the aftermath of an accident.
