Course Details
- This course is 6 hours classroom learning time
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the course starts to register your details
- Running late – you will not be accepted on the course and no refund will be issued
- Maximum of 12 delegates per course
- 15 minute break
- FPT use a combination of Powerpoint presentations, visual aids, practical activities, group work, FAQ’s and assessments to accommodate for all learners.
- Will involve practical elements, wear comfortable clothing, avoid skirts or dresses
- 30 minutes multiple choice online assessment.

Course Content
- The Aviation First Aid Level 2 training will cover the First Aider’s Roles and Responsibilities (including health and safety standards). As a first aider, you must analyse the situation and prioritise accordingly.
- There are many things that you can do on the road before emergency services arrives.
- To know when to place an unresponsive and breathing casualty into the recovery position.
- To be able demonstrate a primary survey.
- CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) should be performed on a infant, child, and adult.
- Make use of the Automated External Defibrillator; understand why it is utilised and how it works.
- To cope with a choking infant, child, or adult.
- This course covers seizures such as epilepsy and generalised seizures.
- There is bleeding and shock.
- Burns are covered as part of the course, including superficial, partial, and full thickness burns.
- Anaphylaxis – what would you do if someone is suffering from an allergic reaction?
- Cuts, grazes, bruises, splinters, and nosebleeds are examples of minor injuries.
- Aviation related issues covered; air sickness, stress, hyperventilation and panic attacks, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Contamination of skin, eyes from aviation fuel, Hyperthermia and frostbite.
